Adventures at the Pasadena Intenational Film Festival
Matthew Irving, Cindy Baer, Ilana Klusky, John Alton, Tegan Ashton Cohan |
We had such a blast screening at the Pasadena International Film Festival. It felt like going back in time to the 1920's for the Opening Night Great Gatsby Gala where everyone dressed for the occasion. Look how gorgeous our lead actress Tegan Ashton Cohan looks pictured in this Hometown Pasadena coverage!
Valentine's Day was a busy day for Cindy and Matt because Daniel Brennan (who plays the role of Teasing Boy in ODD BRODSKY) had his Bar Mitzvah earlier the same evening as our screening. (Mazel Tov Daniel!) But we made it to the theater in time to meet up with some of our wonderful cast (pictured above) including Tegan (Audrey), Ilana (Little Audrey) --who came in from Sacramento, and John (Audrey's Dad). This fantastic audience laughed probably more than any other, and the projection was top notch. We received another good review --this one with LOTS of pictures-- from Splash Magazine who called ODD BRODSKY "a fun, light-hearted film". Here are ALL the rest of the photos from the festival.

What's in a Dream?
Last night I dreamed about Odd Brodsky --the Musical! I woke up with
half of it already worked out in my head...blocking, levels and light
cues... Even figured out where some songs could go. Hmmmmm Not a bad
idea!

Thanks For The Memories 2014
Thanks for the memories 2014! We had a blast screening at 11 film festivals coast to coast, receiving awards & seeing the movie in theaters with live audiences from Los Angeles to Boston, at incredible venues like the historic Egyptian Theatre, the Chinese Theatres, the Laemmle Theatres (in Beverly Hills and North Hollywood) and at LA Live Regal Cinemas downtown. We had a blast spending quality time together with the Odd Brodsky family and making new memories. And yet I have a feeling that 2015 will be even better! Cant' wait to have more adventures together in 2015! As Audrey would say "Keep Banging!"
P.S. Here is what still remains on the Odd Brodsky WISHLIST: Festival screenings in: Portland (OR), Texas and New York would rock my socks. Then I'd love me a little RedBox, Walmart, Cable and online platforms. AND... if its not too much to ask, if we could get a (positive) review in the Hollywood Reporter or Variety, and more press so that more people can know about the movie, that would be fantastic! Thank you in advance!! <3 u="">

ODD BRODSKY Wins Jury Prize!
AMAZING news Odd Brodskies!! They like us! They really like us! ODD BRODSKY won the Jury Prize for "Best Feature" at the 14th Annual Valley Film
Festival!! It's called the 10 Degrees Hotter Award since it's always 10 degrees hotter in the Valley. Lol. Director George Pappy won the Grand Jury Prize for "Best Documentary" In the "its a small world" category, George had cast me to play the role of Jillian (the girlfriend of Rainn Wilson) in his narrative feature FEW OPTIONS which has been playing on Showtime! With such an excellent slate of features, this was a
complete surprise and huge honor! Congratulations to our incredible cast
and tireless crew! You were all there in spirit! Thank you The Valley Film Festivall!! Photos from the event are here.

BIG EYES Gets A BIG RESPONSE
Last night we saw a preview of Tim Burton's BIG EYES, that included a Q&A with 87-year-old artist Margaret Keane, herself! The audience roared with laughter when she said that she had
actually directed the movie and Tim Burton had taken credit! The trailer
doesn't do this film justice AT ALL. And everything in the movie really
happened--even the ending scenes! Plus our own Matthew Kevin Anderson
(who plays Camera One in ODD BRODSKY) has a small role! See it when it opens December 25th!
