Thanks For The Memories 2014

Thanks for the memories 2014!  We had a blast screening at 11 film festivals coast to coast, receiving awards & seeing the movie in theaters with live audiences from Los Angeles to Boston, at incredible venues like the historic Egyptian Theatre, the Chinese Theatres, the Laemmle Theatres (in Beverly Hills and North Hollywood) and at LA Live Regal Cinemas downtown. We had a blast spending quality time together with the Odd Brodsky family and making new memories. And yet I have a feeling that 2015 will be even better! Cant' wait to have more adventures together in 2015! As Audrey would say "Keep Banging!"

P.S. Here is what still remains on the Odd Brodsky WISHLIST: Festival screenings in: Portland (OR), Texas and New York would rock my socks. Then I'd love me a little RedBox, Walmart, Cable and online platforms. AND... if its not too much to ask, if we could get a (positive) review in the Hollywood Reporter or Variety, and more press so that more people can know about the movie, that would be fantastic! Thank you in advance!! <3 u="">

ODD BRODSKY Wins Jury Prize!

AMAZING news Odd Brodskies!! They like us! They really like us! ODD BRODSKY won the Jury Prize for "Best Feature" at the 14th Annual Valley Film Festival!! It's called the 10 Degrees Hotter Award since it's always 10 degrees hotter in the Valley. Lol.  Director George Pappy won the Grand Jury Prize for "Best Documentary" In the "its a small world" category, George had cast me to play the role of Jillian (the girlfriend of Rainn Wilson) in his narrative feature FEW OPTIONS which has been playing on Showtime!  With such an excellent slate of features, this was a complete surprise and huge honor! Congratulations to our incredible cast and tireless crew! You were all there in spirit! Thank you The Valley Film Festivall!!  Photos from the event are here.

BIG EYES Gets A BIG RESPONSE

Last night we saw a preview of Tim Burton's BIG EYES, that included a Q&A with 87-year-old artist Margaret Keane, herself! The audience roared with laughter when she said that she had actually directed the movie and Tim Burton had taken credit! The trailer doesn't do this film justice AT ALL. And everything in the movie really happened--even the ending scenes! Plus our own Matthew Kevin Anderson (who plays Camera One in ODD BRODSKY) has a small role! See it when it opens December 25th!

Discover Your Personal Legend

I just finished reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Wow. This is a must read for all artists, and anyone who is on (or wants to be on) their path. The truth and beauty of this book is inspiring and completely life affirming. Look for signs. Follow your intuition. Be brave. ‪Discover your personal legend.

Photos from the Egyptian Theater screening

Screening at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood was simply a dream come true! To be able to play at such an historic and amazing venue was beyond amazing! I designed special water bottles and a custom photo cake for the occasion, and the party was a blast!  Our photos got picked up by Monsters and Critics, which was then syndicated on the IMDB newsdesk!  A little video recap in the works that will be posted soon. In the meantime here are the photos.

MA Screenings of ODD BRODSKY

It was a full house last night for the FilmShift Festival in Boston at the Somerville Theatre. It was wonderful to see family and friends last night including some who I haven't seen seen I was in camp or high school! Sadly the theater had some major projection issues, which is why Matt always says "Projectionist gets final cut".  Regardless, I am truly grateful for all of the love and support.

The next day we traveled up to the North Shore for the screening of ODD BRODSKY at The Cape Ann Community Cinema in beautiful Gloucester. What a GREAT time! Thanks to everyone who came out, including Nicky Galvin --who was my best friend in 7th grade! And to Darlene Webb (Sweeney) my roommate when I was 21 who brought lots of friends to the screening! Also to my "Brodskies" (Arlene, Grace and Hayley) who saw the movie 2 nights in a row, both here and in Somerville!! And to the great local crowd. This Q&A was especially fun because of the unusual and creative questions! If you haven't been to this gorgeous little town and this wonderful theater, you MUST!

We're Going to the Egyptian!

HOLY COW!!! Who's ready for MORE exciting news? I can't believe I'm actually writing this, but our little movie is going to be screening at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood!!!!! This 618-seat 2-story theater (current home to the American Cinematheque) IS Hollywood history! It opened in 1922 and was operated by Sid Grauman, who later built the world famous "Grauman’s Chinese" across the street. The Egyptian Theatre hosted Hollywood’s first-ever movie premiere for ROBIN HOOD starring Douglas Fairbanks. This star-studded event lit up the movie palace with flashing lights and a red carpet, which set the stage for every movie premiere held thereafter. Mark your calendar for November 15th at 2:30pm!

Photos from ODD BRODSKY at the 10th Annual La Femme Film Festival

Good times were had at the La Femme Festival at the LA Live Regal Cinemas in Los Angeles this week! I'm not gonna lie --it was a challenge juggling two festivals at the same time, but a good challenge! La Femme had great people, movies, parties (with AMAZING food) and a spectacular Closing Night where we got to meet some celebs Marion Ross! (Check out the photos below!)

Full Circle Moments

That's a wrap on our Closing Night Film extravaganza at the Silent River Film Fesival.  Last night was completely surreal seeing our movie where we actually filmed part of it! (In fact, it was SO surreal it threw me off a bit!) Heartfelt thanks to our AMAZING cast and crew who came out. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces including our incredibly talented actors Matthew Kevin Anderson (Camera One), Scotty Dickert (Spuds), Elana Krausz (Zoey), Leigh Forrest (Susan), Jimmy Hanks, Joelle Adamson, Christo Dimassis! Special kudos to producing partner Thomai Hatsios and the wonderful Metahara peeps, as well as all the FreeDreamPix peeps who all gave their time, talent and hearts. Love you all!!! (including those who could not make it tonight). AND to our generous donors, invaluable sponsors and wonderfully supportive friends (including Linda who's visiting from Chicago!) My heart is full.

Thanks for the Memories Big Bear!

We had a blast screening ODD BRODSKY at the 15th Annual Big Bear Lake International Film Festival.  The drive into the mountains is always surreal, like driving into the sky.  The volunteers were so good to us, and we loved the filmmaker goodie bags --which included the craziest wine-screw I've ever seen!  In between films, parties, events and food we found time to take boat out onto the lake!  It's not often the film festivals feel like a much  needed vacation but this one did! Thanks for the memories Big Bear!

Another highlight of the trip was waking up to this awesome tweet and then finding out it was from a reviewer!

And this one on facebook!
